We have formulated a plan of operation for the next two weeks for MTM Associates and Temporary Associates who were here prior to our shut down. (No new Temporary Associates will be added during this time period.)

Date: 3/26/20

Although MTM is a supplier of containers for essential businesses, and has continued operations the last 4 days since the Governor’s  call to Stay at Home, we are now electing to close the plant and all operations effective next week,  Monday, March 30 2020 for the safety of everyone involved. This closure will be in effect for one week and we will plan to reopen April 6, 2020.

On the 16th of March, MTM gave employees  “Corona Five Sick Days” – five paid days to be used as needed for whatever reason related to the flu pandemic.
FFCRA Act which the government has created for workers that MTM provide 80 hours (10 days) of sick time to employees beginning April 1st.
Starting Wednesday, April 1st, the first item noted on the attached is that these FFCRA sick days may be used for Federal, State or local isolation order related to COVID-19.
So for Wednesday/Thursday/Friday of next week, you will be paid for those days with the new FFCRA sick days. If you have 2 of the  “Corona Five Sick Days” remaining, they  will automatically be applied for Monday/Tuesday of next week.  If you do not have any remaining “Corona Five Sick Days” to cover  Monday/Tuesday of next week, please let Reggie know if you would like to use available vacation/sick days. You may put a form in the office basket or leave a message.

As we all know, the situation continues to change.  We will do our best to evaluate and communicate our plan of action to you.

3/24/20
We ask that you do a self-assessment each day to check if you have any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, or shortness of breath). On Thursday the 19th we started taking the temperature of associates coming in, so that no one would be working with a fever at MTM as suggested by the state.
Under the current circumstances MTM encourages sick employees to stay home until they are free of fever (without the use of medication) for at least 72 hours (three full days) AND symptoms have improved for at least 72 hours AND at least seven days have passed since symptoms first began. MTM at this point will not require a healthcare provider's note to validate the illness.

MTM understands that we need to be flexible to allow sick associates to stay home to take care of themselves, children, or other family members.
